Kawasaki WorldSBK & WorldSSP Team Intro
The Kawasaki WorldSBK And WorldSSP Teams Are Ready To Take On The 2026 Season
Entering the 2026 season, the Kawasaki WorldSBK team welcomes back rider Garrett Gerloff, while the WorldSSP team is ready to take on another season with Jeremy Alcoba alongside a new face to the team, two-time Supersport World Champion and MotoE World Champion Dominique Aegerter. Aegerter joins the team for this week's Jerez test and the upcoming Portimao sessions. These tests will allow the riders and team to prepare for the 2026 season, which will commence in Australia on the weekend of February 20–22, following two official test days at the same circuit on February 16–17.
Gerloff will be riding the Ninja ZX-10RR in its 2026 configuration, complete with new aerodynamics and an advanced engine and electronics. Alcoba and Aegerter are tasked with exploiting the potential of the Ninja ZX-6R 636, which was already capable of powering the Spaniard to the podium at the end of the 2025 season, at both rounds in Estoril and Jerez.
Morale is high among the team members, as is their determination to give it their all, achieve the best possible results, and paint both world championship podiums green.

Garrett Gerloff
“The team and I are excited and keen to start this 2026 championship. We’ve changed a lot in terms of both the bike and the team, and I’m pleased to be able to work with a new crew chief, whom I’ve already collaborated with in the past, achieving strong results. The other technicians remain the same and this is important, giving continuity to our work. The tests we’re conducting are important to ensure we head to Australia in the best possible condition and can start the season positively – I have high expectations.”
Jeremy Alcoba
"I want to start the 2026 season in the same way we finished 2025 – on the podium. We have the speed and the potential to be able to do it. The team has worked hard and I feel well prepared. I’m a little nervous if I think about the first races in Australia, but this is positive because it means I’m psyched to just the right point. Our goal is to fight for the podium in every race, and we have everything we need to be able to aim high.”
Dominique Aegerter
“I’m pleased to take on this new season with the Kawasaki WorldSSP Team. The tests are very important if we want to be ready for round one at Phillip Island, and I can’t wait to get there. My goal is to build confidence and get back to winning after some difficult seasons. I’m highly motivated and ready to give 110%, and I know I can aim for strong results with the support of such a fantastic team.”
