Lowes Scores Triple Top-Six at Aragón as Bassani and Gerloff Fight for Points

Alex Lowes (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) delivered a strong weekend at MotorLand Aragón with fifth place in Race One and two solid sixth-place finishes on Sunday, while teammate Axel Bassani charged from the back of the grid to eighth in Race One and added ninth in Race Two, showing consistent pace across all three races.

Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki WorldSBK Team) secured points in both full-length races at MotorLand Aragón, finishing 15th in Race One and 14th in Race Two, while also claiming 15th in the Superpole Race during a challenging but determined weekend.

Alex Lowes

“I’m really happy with two sixth places today. We knew it would be a tough weekend, but the bike felt good, and the team made small changes that improved my pace. In Race Two, I made a small mistake with Andrea Iannone braking earlier than I expected, but I stayed on the bike and came back strong to pass Locatelli at the end. I felt we could have been in the fight for fourth or fifth, but our target was top six, and we achieved that while also qualifying on the front row. Overall, it’s been a really positive weekend. Thanks to the whole team, I’m looking forward to the final two rounds.”

Axel Bassani

“The Superpole Race was tough because I was losing on the straight and trying to recover under braking. In Race Two, the feeling was similar, but once I caught Petrucci, I couldn’t make the pass, I’d lose on the straight and then regain in the corners. Still, ninth gave us good points, and I’m happy with the work we did. Now we focus on Estoril for Round 11.”

Garrett Gerloff

“It got windy on Sunday and looked like it might rain at the end. A positive is that I didn’t crash, but honestly, that’s about it. It was a tough weekend. I gave it everything, as always, but I just don’t have the pace I need.”

Jeremy Alcoba

“In Superpole I immediately felt comfortable on the bike and was able to push with the group to take third place. The team did an amazing job to give me a strong package. We knew the race would be more difficult, and I struggled with tyre management as the laps went on. I tried to adapt as best I could, but the difference was too much. For Race Two we will start from P10, and I believe the team and I can make another step forward. My goal is to fight for a top-five finish.”
