Kawasaki Riders Push the Limit at Estoril
Kawasaki riders put on an impressive display at Circuito Estoril in Portugal, showing speed across all classes. In WorldSBK, Alex Lowes and Axel Bassani (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) fought through a wild weekend, with Lowes taking a strong fifth-place finish and Bassani bouncing back from an early crash to earn solid points. Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki WorldSBK Team) stayed consistent all weekend, battling just outside the Top 10 on his Ninja® ZX™-10RR. In WorldSSP, Jeremy Alcoba (Kawasaki WorldSSP Team) charged through the pack to earn his first-ever podium aboard the Ninja® ZX™-6R 636.

WorldSBK Results

Alex Lowes
“I felt strong all weekend. In the Superpole race, I pushed hard but made a small mistake. We came back strong in Race Two, fighting up front again. The bike felt great, and I was happy to bring home fourth.”
Axel Bassani
“The Superpole race was good, and in Race Two the pace was strong. From P4 to P8 everyone was similar in speed, so it was a solid result to finish inside the Top 10 again.”
Garrett Gerloff
“All in all, I am not super-happy with the weekend, but we had no crashes, which is good, and we were really close to being inside the Top 10 in the long races. It seemed like things were getting better in the middle of the season, but now it just seems like it’s a bit of a struggle. We have one more race weekend left for the year, and we will try our best to end the season on a high note.”
Jeremy Alcoba
“Today we took our first podium, and I feel amazing because it’s been a long time since I’ve been in Parc Fermé. I promised myself I’d earn a podium before the season ended. Starting 25th again wasn’t easy, but I told myself I’d do better in Race Two. The team made another big step with the setup, and the pace was incredible. I was passing everywhere and just enjoying it like a kid. I only want to thank everyone who believes in me.”
