Kawasaki Secures Final WorldSSP300 Manufacturer’s Title
Seven WorldSSP300 Manufacturer’s Titles for Kawasaki
In the final year of the FIM Supersport300 World Championship, Kawasaki has once again proven its dominance, capturing the Manufacturer’s Championship for the seventh time in nine attempts. The milestone came courtesy of Carter Thompson (MTM Kawasaki), who won the second 12-lap race at the 11th round of the 2025 season.
Circuito Estoril, just outside Lisbon, set the stage for what will be remembered as one of the most competitive and tightly contested WorldSSP300 weekends in history. Kawasaki’s presence was formidable, with 16 Ninja 400 riders on the 34-bike grid, including top contenders Loris Veneman (MTM Kawasaki), Antonio Torres and David Salvador (Team ProDina XCI Kawasaki), and Jose Manuel Osuna Saez (ZAPPAS Deza – Box77 Racing Kawasaki).
Race One saw Kawasaki riders dominate the top positions, with Thompson finishing a close second and Veneman securing a podium. Race Two delivered dramatic action, as Thompson battled from a tenth-place starting spot to narrowly claim victory by just 0.010 seconds, while Daniel Mogeda (Pons Motorsport Italika Racing Kawasaki) completed a Kawasaki podium with third place. The top Kawasaki finishers across both races showcased the Ninja 400’s consistency, speed, and reliability, proving once again why Kawasaki remains the benchmark in WorldSSP300.
With Thompson, Mogeda, Salvador, Torres, Garcia, and Osuna Saez all performing at the top of their game, Kawasaki clinched the Manufacturer’s Championship ahead of the season finale in Jerez. While the Rider and Team Championships remain undecided, Kawasaki’s Ninja 400 continues to demonstrate the winning combination of innovation, engineering, and rider skill.
Steve Guttridge, Kawasaki Motors Europe Race Planning Manager, reflected: "To secure yet another title and the final WorldSSP300 Manufacturer’s Title is historic. Our riders, teams, and Ninja machinery have proven again that Kawasaki is a force to be reckoned with."
As the WorldSSP300 era closes, Kawasaki celebrates its legacy of performance and championship-winning machines. The final round in Jerez promises even more excitement, but the Manufacturer’s Championship is already proudly in Kawasaki’s hands.
