McGrath's Take Family Fun to a New Level at King of The Hammers
Jeremy McGrath and his daughter Rhowan McGrath showcased their passion for the sport and demonstrated their skill at the recent King of the Hammers (KOH) event. The McGrath duo brought their spirit to the grueling desert terrain, making their mark in the off-road racing community.
Known for their love of the sport, Jeremy and Rhowan approached the King of the Hammers with a focus on fun, with only minimal modifications to their Kawasaki Teryx KRX® side x side vehicles to meet race requirements. The team made necessary adjustments, including adding a race spec cage, window nets and advanced driver restraint to ensure their vehicles were legally race-worthy.
Rhowan McGrath participated in the KOH Desert Challenge alongside her father as the co-pilot, fiercely battling for the lead throughout the race. Unfortunately, a mechanical issue surfaced with less than 2 miles to go, hindering their chances at victory. Despite the setback, the McGrath duo left an impression with their competitive spirit.
Jeremy McGrath, accompanied by his nephew, Jaren, as co-pilot, faced the challenging KOH course head-on. Qualifying 28th overall and starting alongside Brian Deegan, McGrath navigated through the treacherous terrain, overcoming mechanical hurdles. In a remarkable display of resilience, McGrath secured the 28th overall position and an impressive 13th place in his UTV Pro Mod class.
Notably, only 42 out of the 125 participants successfully completed the event, emphasizing the toughness of the King of the Hammers competition.

“We had an amazing time at the race! It was a fantastic experience, and racing alongside Rhowan was a cool dad moment for me. Despite a few stops that cost us some time, we competed with over 100 cars and even reached the top 15 at one point. In the end, we finished 28th overall and 12th in our class. The KRX was solid all weekend! Our family's dedication to this hobby keeps us motivated, and now it's time to prepare the cars for the next race!”

“KOH is one of the toughest races there is and to have my dad as my co driver to help navigate me through it all was amazing. For him to share this experience and all of his race knowledge with me is something I am so grateful for. He pushes me to drive hard and have fun. We have the best time when we are in the car together.”
