The Monster Energy Kawasaki race team continues to build on its legendary legacy as Derik Dwyer makes the exciting transition to the premier class of SuperMotocross, now serving as the mechanic for four-time FIM Motocross World Champion Jorge Prado.
Dwyer’s career with Kawasaki began in the 250 class, where he made his mark with Team Green as a mechanic for Cameron McAdoo at Monster Energy® Pro Circuit Kawasaki. Over the course of their time together, Dwyer helped McAdoo achieve an impressive nine podium finishes, including one win. His meticulous attention to detail and ability to adapt under pressure earned him a reputation as a top-tier mechanic in the highly competitive 250 class.
Now, stepping into the big leagues, Dwyer brings his wealth of knowledge and hands-on expertise to the Monster Energy Kawasaki 450 team. Working alongside Jorge Prado, a rider with an incredible four FIM Motocross World Championships to his name, Dwyer is set to play a pivotal role in helping the team chase more success aboard the all-new 2025 KX™450SR.
Monster Energy Kawasaki has a rich history with 25 premier class titles, making it the most decorated team in Supercross and Motocross racing. With Dwyer’s move to the 450 team, the squad continues to build upon an already impressive resume, while pushing the limits of performance.
