"Winning is always amazing, but to do it at home is even better with so many fans cheering me on. It's the first time I have experienced such emotion! The start was not the best, and I was sleeping a little at the beginning of the race, but my trainer always reminds me that it's a long race. When I found my rhythm, I had good speed to come through the pack. I had a little arm-pump mid-race, but that's normal at the first round, and I could ride through it to take the double-win and the red plate."

"What an awesome weekend, but that was a weird race in some ways. I had a good start, but I couldn't find the best lines in the early laps and ended up going down. I thought I'd throw it away, but I was strong enough to fight back for fifth in the race and second overall."
Mathis Valin
"Race 1 was quite good; I had a pretty good start, found my flow and had a good end to the race as I was pushing Längenfelder. Race 2 was a bit more difficult. I stayed a little too long behind Everts; I couldn't pass him and that cost me a lot of energy to attack him for so many laps. Then, I had a small crash on the last lap which cost me one position. I pushed hard in both races and showed I have the speed, but I have to work on my passes. MX2 is very competitive, so it's not easy to pass anywhere. I need to pass more quickly in future."
Pauls Jonass
"It was a challenging day. I felt fit and healthy, but just wasn't riding the greatest in Race 1, then we had a small issue and I had to pull out. I kept charging in Race 2, passing some guys to finish ninth. It wasn't the best day, and not where we want to be, but we're looking to rebound in Switzerland."
