Kawasaki Ramps Up Testing Ahead of Pro Motocross Championship Opener

Refining the KX™450SR for the Rigors of the Motocross Season
With the Pro Motocross Championship set to kick off on May 24th at Fox Raceway, the Monster Energy® Kawasaki team has been hard at work refining the KX™450SR for the grueling motocross season. Testing has been a top priority, ensuring the bike is dialed in for the deep ruts, rough terrain, and 35-minute motos that define motocross at the highest level.
Monster Energy Kawasaki test rider Broc Tickle and the testing personnel have been meticulously evaluating engine and suspension configurations to provide valuable feedback for the race team. One of the key points of focus has been developing an alternative engine package with different characteristics from the base setup. This allows riders to have multiple options based on track conditions and personal preferences. Additionally, extensive work has been done on suspension settings, creating packages that offer varied balance and handling characteristics.
Test mechanic Brian Kranz has played a crucial role in the development process, overseeing frequent test sessions at Fox Raceway and Glen Helen. The team has been fine-tuning chassis and suspension performance while also incorporating new engine components designed to enhance the KX450SR’s ability to maintain peak performance throughout the long motos.
With just weeks until the gate drops at Fox Raceway, the Monster Energy Kawasaki squad remains laser-focused on ensuring the KX450SR is ready to battle for the championship.
