“It was a pretty good night for me and my Monster Energy®/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team. The day started out a bit slow for me, but every time I was on the track, I felt more and more comfortable. I am just glad to get out of here healthy and tied for the points lead heading into the final round. I know Salt Lake is going to be a brawl, but I am ready for the challenge. A huge thanks to everyone that supports me and I am excited to go for this championship!”
Jason Anderson
“I always like to do well here in Denver, since it is the closest race to my hometown. The day started off a bit timid, but as the day progressed, I found my flow and became more comfortable. In the main, I got a decent start, but quickly found my pace and tried to latch onto the Lawrence brothers, but I was not able to get them. Overall, it was a good night and my Monster Energy® Kawasaki was feeling good all day. It was nice to land on the podium and I am ready for Salt Lake next weekend.”
Adam Cianciarulo
“Denver was my second to last race and I wish the weekend went a little better for us. My KX™450SR was feeling great all day, but the track was technical and I never found my groove. I started the day qualifying 11th, which wasn’t too bad, but I wanted more. In my heat race, I got a bad jump out of the gate and got buried mid pack. I made some passes and battled with some guys, but seventh was where we ended up. In the main, I am not sure if I got wheel spin, but I was very deep in the field on the first corner again. I put my head down and tried to make as many passes as I could. 15th on the day, but I am excited for Salt Lake to celebrate my last race with everyone. I appreciate all the fans and support this weekend. One more round!”
Cameron McAdoo
“Gutted is an understatement. The first qualifying session and the beginning of the second qualifying session were going to plan. My KX™250 was feeling good all day, but a crash in the second qualifying session caused me to pull off and get my shoulder checked on before the night show. I made the call to line up for my heat race and see how it felt on the track. I managed to make it into the main after battling my shoulder pain and unfortunately Levi and I got together causing us both to go down and when I got back up, I tried to continue, but the pain was unbearable. We are going to get everything checked out and stay hopeful that I can continue the last few rounds.”
Seth Hammaker
“Man, what a weekend. It was great to come race in Philly for the first time and call this my home race since I only grew up an hour away from here. After taking the Nashville round off and working on regaining strength in my shoulder, I felt really confident coming into the weekend and motivated with my family and friends coming to support. We started off the day right running quick qualifying times, and then holeshot and won the heat race. It was so cool to hear the fans show their support for me. I also grabbed the holeshot in the main event and had great battles with (Max) Anstie. With a few laps to go, (Jalek) Swoll went inside in the sand and I went outside like I had the whole race. He over jumped and lost control and ended up getting into the side of me taking us both down and out of podium spots. I was super bummed about the situation that could have changed our nights, but I’m happy to walk away healthy, have a weekend off and make it happen in Salt Lake.”
Austin Forkner
“All I can say is wow, what a great start to the season. A year ago we didn’t make it past the first turn, and now here we are, holeshot, heat race and main event winners. It’s been a long, hard road to get here, but it feels great to be back up on top. A lot of people have doubted me and my return, but I’m glad to be back to where I feel like I belong. We have done lots of training, and I felt great on my KX™250 all weekend. I can’t thank my Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team, trainers and family enough. This is a game changer for me and I’m ready to keep this red plate.”
Maximus Vohland
“The day was going good until it wasn’t. I qualified pretty good and I felt comfortable in the mud. I had a good start for the heat race and set myself up in a good position for the mud and the main event. In the main I felt comfortable and thought we were going to have a good race until we had an issue that ended our night. I am bummed out for the night to end that way because I felt like I ran pretty good all day and had a great chance at a podium. But we will regroup and get back to it this week and come in firing to San Diego.”
