Another Overall Win and Points Extension for Mathis Valin
Bud Racing Kawasaki's Mathis Valin retained the red plate of the series points-leader and extended his lead in the FIM European EMX250 Championship with his second consecutive series victory at Teutschenthal in Germany. Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP's Jeremy Seewer dug deep in rain-affected conditions to finish sixth and Romain Febvre suffered a set-back when he was forced to withdraw from racing as the pain from the thumb injury sustained two weeks ago in France became unbearable.

"This morning my goal was to have a podium result, but in the end, as Lata got a penalty, I won the GP. I don’t like to win that way, but it’s good for the championship! I showed my speed again today and I did my best as always; the track was rough but I got a better start today and that was necessary in these conditions. I took the lead, but when Lata passed me I made a couple of mistakes and had to ride more calmly to finish second. Next up is Latvia; I won there last year in the 125s and I like this track so let’s go!"
Jeremy Seewer
"Luckily it wasn't quite as muddy this weekend as in Portugal and France but it was not easy in the conditions; the track was different every session with the weather continually changing. All those tight corners made it tricky with the set-up; there was no flow. I was simply not satisfied with my first race, but the second was better; it was just a shame I had that small crash. Mentally it was frustrating because I am normally really strong on this type of track when the weather doesn't play tricks, but that's life."

“It was an unfortunate result at the end, but I'm super happy with my riding and where we're at with my KX250X. I started the race in third and passed my way into the lead through the Pro Section. I was then able to extend a decent gap ahead of the competition until I had an issue and needed to pull into the pits. We got the issue resolved and I jumped back into the race to salvage a sixth place finish.”
