The annual Monster Energy® Mammoth Motocross welcomed hundreds of the nation's top amateur, pro, and veteran racers to Mammoth Lakes, California, where Kawasaki riders delivered standout performances across a variety of classes throughout the prestigious event. Ryan Villopoto celebrated his return as an ambassador with Kawasaki by capturing the Vet Class title, Monster Energy® Kawasaki Team Green™ rider Dane Pappas put together a flawless week with three amateur class championships, and Kawasaki Pro Circuit Off-Road rider Justin Hoeft claimed two Pro Class overall victories.

An ambassador of Kawasaki, five-time Pro Motocross champion Ryan Villopoto turned back the clock during Mammoth's Vet Weekend aboard his KX™450. Villopoto dominated Day 1's 30+ Pro competition with convincing 1-1 moto finishes to earn the day's overall victory before returning for Day 2 to finish 1-3 in the motos and earn the day's second-place overall. Both of his day results combined earned him the 30+ Pro Vet class overall victory for the event, once again demonstrating the speed and consistency that made him one of the sport's all-time greats.

Pappas was nearly untouchable aboard his Kawasaki KX™250, sweeping his races with perfect 1-1 moto scores in 250 B, 250 B/C Open, and Schoolboy 2 B/C, securing the overall event victory for all three of his classes. The California native grabbed all six holeshots, led every lap, and never relinquished control despite Mammoth's notoriously rocky, loose, and high-elevation conditions. Strong winds late in the week added another challenge, but Pappas remained in command from start to finish to secure three dominant overall victories.

Representing the Kawasaki Pro Circuit Off-Road team, Justin Hoeft conquered the big bike premier classes aboard his KX™450X, earning overall victories and overall event victories in both 450 Pro and Open Pro. Hoeft claimed the 450 Pro overall with 1-2 moto finishes before backing it up in Open Pro with 2-1 scores, showcasing his versatility and consistency against a talented professional field.

From Villopoto's ambassador debut victory, to Pappas' amateur class sweep, and Hoeft’s two premier class championships, Kawasaki riders highlighted another successful showing at one of amateur motocross' most iconic events. Their success and several other Kawasaki podium finishes reinforced the Team Green™ support program's commitment to developing championship-winning talent through every stage of racing. Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green™ riders will return to the track next month to face the ultimate field of competition at the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s.
