Kawasaki Riders Impress at Round 2 of the WaterJet World Grand Prix in Belgium

Kawasaki Jet Ski Riders Keep Podium Streak Alive in Belgium
After a strong showing in the opening round of the 2025 WGP#1 WaterJet World Series in Osaka, Japan, the Kawasaki riders continued their momentum into Round 2 in Belgium.
In the Pro Ski Grand Prix category, Team Kawasaki Jet Ski rider Jimmy Wilson secured an impressive second overall, maintaining his lead at the top of the points standings. The rookie, Mao Sato, steadily found his rhythm throughout the event, finishing 8th overall.
Team Pastorello Competition rider, Hugo Pastorello, claimed third overall in both the Expert Ski Grand Prix and the Pro-Am Endurance Open categories.
The Belgian stop marked the only lake-based venue on the 2025 calendar, presenting unique conditions compared to the open-water rounds. Still, Kawasaki riders once again rose to the challenge, showcasing their ability to adapt and deliver results in any environment.
The Kawasaki riders will return for their final race of the season in Thailand at the end of December, aiming to build on their successful season.

Alex Lowes
"It’s always exciting to race at a new venue. Balaton has a unique layout with slower chicanes and lower top speeds, which should make for some good racing. Our performance has been trending in the right direction, and I’m aiming to continue that momentum. I’ve been focused on recovering from my Donington crash and hope to ride without any issues this weekend. I’m looking forward to having fun with Team 22 and seeing what we can achieve."

Axel Bassani
"Balaton is a new challenge for everyone, which could work in our favor. It’s a track with a lot of first-gear corners and heavy braking, and while we tested there on a stock bike, this weekend will be our first time on the WorldSBK machine. We’ve done well in qualifying, but now we need to carry that speed through the race. We’ll give it everything to take home some strong results."
