Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green™ Conquers the Rocks in Pennsylvania
Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green™ battled the slippery and treacherous Pennsylvania terrain to reign supreme at the Rattlesnake National Enduro. The weekend introduced a brand-new Super Test to the National Enduro. The test featured head-to-head racing as two riders lined up side by side to complete two timed laps through a course. An over-under section moved the rider to the other lane after Lap 1. This test counted as the first of seven for the total event score.
Steward Baylor set the tone on Saturday’s Super Test track, recording the second fastest time, just one second off the leader, in the Pro 1 Class. He proceeded to win all but two tests on Sunday, bringing home the overall win.
Josh Toth, entering the race tied in points with teammate Baylor, hoped to take the sole lead. Despite a strong effort, including a test win, he finished second in the Pro 1 Class.
Grant Baylor had an up-and-down day, ultimately finishing fifth in the Pro 1 Class.
Nick DeFeo fought hard in the Pro 2 Class, landing on the podium with a third-place finish.
Rachael Archer overcame several crashes to earn a strong third place in the Women’s Elite Class.
The team races again on September 7 at the Buckwheat 100 Grand National Cross Country race in West Virginia.
Rattlesnake National Results

Josh Toth
“I had a big crash out there in Test 3. I ended up tangled in the bike and all scratched up. It was gnarly out there. I made too many mistakes to keep up with Stew [Baylor]. I’m happy to be able to walk out of here in one piece because I have a big month ahead of me.”
Steward Baylor Jr
“I felt good today. I think it was an advantage to be on the row behind Josh [Toth] as I could see his lines and adjust mine. My Pirelli tires were amazing in the slick rocks out there. I’m stoked to win this one.”
Rachael Archer
“It was tough out there. I fell a few times and struggled to get in the flow. The Pennsylvania rocks are no joke! I’m looking forward to the next one.”
Nick DeFeo
"I won the Super Test, which was unreal! I just rode too cautious on Sunday. Once I figured out how to ride the rocks, I got closer, but this wasn’t my best round. I’m still excited to be on the podium.”
Grant Baylor
"It just took me too long to get going. I got smoked at the beginning but came around at the end, getting close to winning some tests. I’ll be better at the next one.”
