MTM Kawasaki Prepares for Final Phase of WorldSSP300 Season with Rider Lineup Changes

Roster Updates Ahead of Season Finale
As the final season of the World Supersport 300 Championship enters its second half, MTM Kawasaki and the Kawasaki Junior Team by MTM are making key updates ahead of the next round at Magny-Cours.
Beginning with the French Round, Loris Veneman will return to MTM Kawasaki, riding the Ninja 400. After making his debut in the Supersport category, Veneman rejoins the team with the goal of supporting the season finale efforts and laying the groundwork for future objectives.
An accomplished competitor in WorldSSP300, Veneman has secured 3 race victories, 3 pole positions, and 7 podiums in just 32 races; all previously achieved on the MTM Kawasaki Ninja 400.
Team leadership, including Ludo Van Der Veken, expressed enthusiasm about Veneman’s return and is looking forward to his performance in the final rounds.
Veneman takes the place of Mirko Gennai, who departs following a successful partnership that included 3 race wins and a pivotal role in securing the 2024 Team Championship. Gennai’s achievements remain a significant part of MTM Kawasaki history.
In the Kawasaki Junior Team by MTM, the collaboration with Petr Svoboda concludes with immediate effect following half a season of competition. Appreciation is extended for Svoboda’s commitment and efforts during his time with the team.
Stepping into the role for the remainder of the 2025 season is Giacomo Zannini. The Italian rider joins with a clear focus on progressing over the final four rounds while representing MTM Kawasaki colors.
Alex Lowes
"It’s always exciting to race at a new venue. Balaton has a unique layout with slower chicanes and lower top speeds, which should make for some good racing. Our performance has been trending in the right direction, and I’m aiming to continue that momentum. I’ve been focused on recovering from my Donington crash and hope to ride without any issues this weekend. I’m looking forward to having fun with Team 22 and seeing what we can achieve."

Axel Bassani
"Balaton is a new challenge for everyone, which could work in our favor. It’s a track with a lot of first-gear corners and heavy braking, and while we tested there on a stock bike, this weekend will be our first time on the WorldSBK machine. We’ve done well in qualifying, but now we need to carry that speed through the race. We’ll give it everything to take home some strong results."
