GFI Nevada Racing Team Takes On Vegas to Reno
The GFI Nevada Racing Team delivered a powerhouse performance at the Best In The Desert Casey Folks Vegas to Reno, capturing back-to-back victories in the UTV Pro NA class with the #1941 Kawasaki Teryx KRX® 1000. Driver Zach Kisman and navigator Tony Bonanno conquered nearly 500 miles of unforgiving Nevada desert, securing the team’s second straight triumph at America’s longest off-road race.
The team also fielded the #316 Kawasaki Teryx KRX 1000, with Steve Austin driving and Shane Kisman navigating. The duo showed determination through the brutal terrain before mechanical issues forced them to retire.
“Not finishing is never what you want,” said Shane Kisman. “But Steve and I left it all out there. The car was fast, the pits were flawless, and the spirit of this team never wavered. We’ll regroup and be back swinging.”
With Vegas to Reno in the books, the GFI Nevada Racing Team now turns its focus to the upcoming VORRA Stomping Grounds 400 in Yerington, Nevada, taking place August 30 – September 1. The team will return to its roots on familiar terrain, bringing the same preparation and grit that secured their Vegas to Reno victory.
“Racing in our home state with VORRA is special,” said Team Management. “We’re excited to bring the momentum from Vegas to Reno into Yerington and put on another strong performance in front of our local fans.”

Zach Kisman
“Vegas to Reno tests everything, your machine, your patience, and your crew. Tony and I stuck to our plan, the car never skipped a beat, and the team nailed every pit. This win belongs to all of us.”
