“It was not my best performance this weekend. I missed the mark on bike setup, which was on me. I went down a couple miles in, fought back into third, and was running in the train. I felt fast in some sections but really struggled in others. Another crash while trying to make a pass twisted up the front end, and to top it off, I had an issue with my hydration pack and had to ditch it on lap one. A fourth place is a good slap in the face, it definitely fires me up for the next one.”

“What a frustrating way to end what was otherwise a strong day. I made a poor call on fuel strategy, and that one’s on me. I had to pit early with a goggle issue, so I topped off then, and based on last year’s numbers, I was confident the bike could go the distance. The math should have worked, but for some reason, it didn’t, and the bike started running out of fuel a couple miles before the pits. That cost us too much time in the end. On the positive side, my bike was working great, and I had some awesome battles up front throughout the day. Now it’s on to Missouri for the National Enduro, and I’m ready to turn our luck around.”
