The final round of the 2026 AMA West Hare Scrambles Championship brought a successful season to a close for Kawasaki rider Layton Smail, who completed a perfect Pro 250 campaign with his seventh consecutive class victory and a runner-up overall finish. In the Pro Women class, Ashlee Gage returned to the top step of the podium for her first victory in four years. Smail’s dominant season aboard his KX™250 earned him the 2026 AMA West Hare Scrambles Pro 250 Championship at the prior round in Washington, while Gage closed the year with a breakthrough victory aboard her Kawasaki.
