Babbitt's Online/Monster Energy®/Kawasaki Team Green™ Rider Josh Strang Battles The Elements to Take Second Overall at Round 3
Round 3 of the GNCC series returned to Aonia Pass MX in Washington, Georgia, for what turned out to be the most challenging race of the year thus far. A near-perfect track on Saturday would lead to adverse conditions just 24 hours later, with early morning rain storms soaking the 12-mile clay track on Sunday. The No.17 Babbitt’s Online/Monster Energy®/Kawasaki Team Green™ rider Josh Strang would overcome the challenging conditions, piloting his KX450X en route to taking his first podium of the year with a second-place finish. Fellow XC1 teammate and Kawasaki newcomer, Grant Baylor, would race his way to a sixth-place position at the checkered flag. Defending XC2 champion, Lyndon Snodgrass, would also come across the line to complete the three-hour event in sixth place.

"What a day! The General was technical and tough but I focused on riding my own race and tried to enjoy it. The Kawasaki KX450X is an amazing off-road motorcycle that works in all conditions so I don't have to worry about performance or durability when it's this gnarly. This results definitely shows what I'm capable of and am excited to get things rolling again."

"I was lacking a bit of pace this weekend and with the slick track conditions it was nearly impossible to make up any ground on the competition after the start. I'm pleased to have finished with another sixth-place finish, especially in the rough conditions, but I know we are capable of more. I'll be back for the next round even more motivated to battle up front.”

"I finished sixth this weekend, which isn't ideal but it was the best we could do with the how slick the track conditions were. The positive side is we still sit third in points and are very much in the championship hunt. The team and I will get back to work this week and look to acheive a better result at the next round."
