Win Number Four For
Rachael Archer
Red Bear Rocky Mountain Kawasaki Team Green™ rider Steward Baylor entered the Hoosier Grand National Cross Country race in Crawfordsville, Indiana, as the defending winner. For the first four laps of this year’s race, it looked like Baylor would be on the top step of the podium again.
For the second time this season, Baylor pulled the holeshot in the XC1 Class. He led the race through the halfway point, until a mechanical issue on Lap 5 ended his day early.
WXC rider Rachael Archer had an amazing race, passing into the lead by mile three and never looking back. She took the win by over 30 seconds.
XC1 rider Grant Baylor struggled with knee pain and finished 21st overall.
XC2 rider Josh Toth had a tough day, fighting setup issues. He finished fourth in the XC2 Class.
XC2 rider Nick DeFeo had a crash with a lapped rider that caused him to hit a tree and bruise his arm. He stayed on track but ended up a few minutes down from the pain, finishing seventh in the XC2 Class.
Red Bear Rocky Mountain Kawasaki Team Green™ resumes racing next weekend at the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Cherokee National Enduro.

Rachael Archer
“This one feels really good. Normally on a fast track like this, I struggle to keep pace, but today I felt awesome. The bike was great and I’m stoked to get the win.”
Steward Baylor Jr
“I was a little sick coming into this race, so I was just trying to stay smooth out there. With a track this fast, I think that was important and what allowed me to stay out front. It’s a bummer because I think I had a win in me today, but we will keep fighting.”
Josh Toth
“I just missed on my setup today. The track was fast and got rougher than I thought it would. I’ll circle the wagons and come out swinging at the next round.”
