Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green™ Tops the Flying W Ranch National Enduro

The Missouri mud was flying this weekend at Round 3 of the National Enduro series at the Flying W Ranch. It has been a dog fight for the points lead so far between teammates Steward Baylor and Josh Toth, with riders trading wins in the first two rounds. This time it was Baylor who got the upper hand and put his KX™450X on top of the podium for the overall win, securing the Pro 1 points lead.

Josh Toth was fast in the wet conditions, winning more tests than any other rider, but mistakes kept him just off Baylor’s pace. He closed out the day with a strong second overall finish, only 18 seconds behind.

Grant Baylor rode well all day, but crashes kept him just off the podium, finishing fourth overall.

Nick DeFeo had a solid day, winning one test and finishing third in the Pro 2 Class.

Women’s Elite rider Rachael Archer had a bit of an off day, but still stood on the podium, taking third in her class.

The team races again in two weeks at the Snowshoe Grand National Cross Country race.

NEPG Results

Steward Baylor Jr

“My race was uneventful, and that was a good thing! My bike worked great all day long in the rocks. Not being able to see test times most of the day was tough, but I just tried to hit my marks and keep it on two wheels. My focus now is maintaining the points lead through the next five rounds.”

Josh Toth

“It was tough to read the trail today. A little sketchy too with how slick the rocks were. No excuses though. The bike was good, and I felt good. I just made too many mistakes to beat Stew [Baylor].”

Grant Baylor

“It was a good day. I’m getting closer to these guys in speed, just too many crashes and mistakes today. It feels good to be fighting for test wins again. I’ll keep getting better.”

Rachael Archer

“I got lost a few times and just made too many mistakes. I’m looking forward to the next round.”

Nick DeFeo

“It was a good race. I’m bummed that the test I won got thrown out as I would have gotten second today, but oh well. I’m getting better at these.”
