Monster Energy® Kawasaki Team Green™ Riders Showcase Front-Running Speed at Prairie Hill
Round 2 of the 2026 Triple Crown Series brought the team and riders to Prairie Hill MX in Manitoba. The day began with cool temperatures and a steady breeze, but as the morning progressed, the sun emerged and conditions quickly improved. The combination of sunshine, favorable track conditions, and enthusiastic fans created an excellent atmosphere for racing, setting the stage for another exciting day of Triple Crown competition.
Pro 250 rookie Vincent Wey wasted no time getting up to speed at Prairie Hill MX, quickly finding his rhythm aboard the Kawasaki KX™250. A strong qualifying effort saw him post the fastest lap time in the Pro 250 class, earning top qualifier honors and setting the tone for the day’s racing. In Moto 1, Wey got off to the perfect start by securing the holeshot and immediately setting the pace at the front of the field. He maintained the lead for the opening six laps before being overtaken and settling into second position. Despite applying pressure throughout the remainder of the moto, Wey rode a smart and consistent race, holding strong to finish in an impressive second place. In Moto 2, Wey once again launched off the gate with an excellent start, quickly settling into second position before making an early pass for the lead. The front two riders engaged in an intense battle throughout the opening laps, showcasing impressive speed and determination. Although Wey was eventually shuffled back to second place, he remained focused and maintained a strong pace for the remainder of the moto. His consistent lap times and relentless effort secured a solid second-place finish in Moto 2, earning him second overall on the day.
Monster Energy® Kawasaki Team Green™ rider Kade Johnson showed strong speed and determination during qualifying with a consistent and calculated session aboard his Kawasaki. Maintaining a solid pace throughout, Johnson secured the third-fastest qualifying time overall, positioning himself well for the motos. In Moto 1, Johnson launched off the gate with a strong start, positioning himself near the front of the pack early in the moto. He spent the majority of the race engaged in a hard-fought battle for third place, showcasing both speed and determination. Despite intense pressure in the closing laps, Johnson maintained a solid pace and crossed the finish line in fourth position. In Moto 2, Johnson got off the gate well and quickly established himself among the front runners. After settling into fifth place early, he maintained a strong and consistent pace while battling for position. Midway through the moto, Johnson successfully made the pass into fourth and immediately began closing in on the rider ahead in the fight for third. Despite applying pressure throughout the remainder of the race, he remained composed and rode a smart, calculated moto, ultimately securing a strong fourth-place overall finish.
