MONSTER ENERGY® KAWASAKI RIDERS EARN FIFTH AND THIRD AT PRO MOTOCROSS SERIES FINALE
Foothill Ranch, Calif. (August 24, 2024) - Monster Energy® Kawasaki rider Jason Anderson rode strong at the Pro Motocross season finale at Ironman Raceway, finishing sixth (5-5) overall and earning fifth place in the Pro Motocross 450MX final points standings. In the 250MX class, Monster Energy® Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider Levi Kitchen finished runner-up in the first moto but a crash in the second moto forced him to retire from the race. Kitchen finished third in the final 250MX points standings. Ty Masterpool finished sixth overall (5-6) and new teammate Drew Adams made his professional debut finishing 12th overall (15-11). Garrett Marchbanks had a crash in the first moto and was unable to start the second moto.

“I’m really happy with how I’m riding right now, I felt good in the first moto and I believe I was stronger than the rest of the guys. In the second moto I got a bad start and as I was trying to make up ground, I ended up getting my leg caught up under my bike and twisting it after a fall. I’m looking forward to resting the next couple of days and coming out strong in the SMX playoffs.”

“I felt really good on my Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki KX™250 in the first moto. I got a strong start and I felt like I was able to ride for the win until I had a tip over. In the second moto I felt good and rode well but just couldn’t make anything happen. I have a lot of confidence heading into the SMX playoffs.”

"Making my debut had its ups and downs and it is definitely different racing with the big dogs. I had a good start in Moto 1 but had a pretty big crash, but I got up and fought to get 15th. In the second moto I didn’t get the start I wanted but I made some passes on my Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki KX250 and finished okay. Now that I have a little experience I know I will come back strong.”

“It was a hot race today. Being able to ride consistently and move forward late in Moto 2 was key. Finishing fifth in both motos continues the momentum into the SMX playoffs, and I need to keep pushing as we head to Charlotte.”

"It was a really rewarding weekend. Starting fourth in Moto 1 gave me some confidence, but I had to fight hard to stay in the Top 10. I kept pushing in Moto 2 and managed to break back into the Top 10 again for my second race back in years. I’m proud of the progress made on the KX™450SR and I truly feel like this was a great experience to test the bike out in real race conditions once more. Thank you to the Monster Energy® Kawasaki team for the opportunity to race again, hopefully we can do this again in the future!”
